The Big Conversations Card Game

Aug. 6, 2019, 2:08 p.m.

We understand that talking about death isn’t top of many people’s list of fun things to do! We’ve found that our card game seems to bridge the gap.

Exciting times at huunuu HQ! We’ve expanded our range of tools to enable big conversations around death, dying and the life and legacy that we’d like to leave behind.

Whilst our website is free for everyone to plan their life journey, by adding the big conversations card game, we hope we’ve made having these important discussions accessible to all. It is a gentle and fun way of exploring topics surrounding death, whilst also finding out a little bit more about the people you are playing with.

We believe that everyone should be able to have conversations around death and dying, no matter what stage of life they are at. We also think it’s pretty important to share the information with loved ones, be that advanced care planning, funeral plans or bucket list ideas.

Joyful & fun!

We’ve witnessed moments of mirth and joy and  discovered that you will leave the game knowing a little bit more about those that you’ve played with, be a little more curious and hopefully have an idea about how you want to be remembered (did you know you can blast your ashes into space or be buried in an eco-cocoon!).

The wildcards

One of our favourite aspects of the card game is the wildcard section. There are five wildcards in the pack, which ask you to commit to an act of kindness that takes place after the game has finished.

These cards were created around our seven random acts of kindness idea. The huunuu team are always ready to help, support and act. Sometimes the spontaneous moments have the greatest impact. Play it forward and make the world a little bit brighter.

We’d love to know if you’ve played a wildcard and how it was for you. Send us a Tweet or Facebook message using #huunuuwildcard #randomactsofkindness or email: hello@huunuu.com

Watch Healthwatch Essex playing the game

We’ve received lots of fantastic feedback from hospices and at palliative care events. During the recent Dying Matters week, Healthwatch Essex were so enamoured with the game, that they recorded a number of their colleagues playing the game. You can take a look at one of these here:

Find out more and buy the cards

The cards are available to all to buy and enjoy, further information can be found here:
