5 bucket list ideas for couples that you’ll want to try ASAP

June 20, 2018, 3:35 p.m.

Bucket lists aren’t just for those who want to travel the world. They’re also a great way to make the most of the time you spend with your partner. Here are some of our creative bucket list ideas all couples can do!

Go on your first date all over again

What did you do on your first date? This question is a goldmine for this particular couple’s bucket list activity! Recreating your first date including where it was, what you did, what outfit you wore and so on.

I want to recreate our first date!

double date four friends

Go on a double date

Double dating can be so much fun - especially if you end up with two new best friends. Four is a magic number because it’ll be easier to take part in stuff like pub quizzes, escape room games and any other things where you need more than two people!

Let’s go on a double date!

Love letter

Write each other a love letter

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Writing each other a love letter using pen and paper is one of the very best personalised gifts you can give your partner. Start with why you’re writing it. The reasons could be anything from you don’t say it often enough to you just think it would be a really cool idea! Next write about how they make you feel, what positive stuff they bring into your life and so on.

If that’s not your cup of tea, then you could still write a list of things you really appreciate about your partner and have them do the same. Think of it as a ‘compliments jar’ but in list form. Not only will it make you both feel good about yourselves, it’ll remind you of why you fell in love in the first place! Everyone’s a winner!

Talking until sunrise

Stay up all night and just talk

Remember the early days in your relationship when you and your partner would just talk and talk until the sun comes up? Pulling an all-nighter with the one you love should be on every ultimate couple bucket list. It can take you right back to the beginning of the relationship - that exciting, butterflies-in-your-tummy feeling. Plus, it’s when we reveal some of our deepest feelings and opinions...so you’ll probably learn even more things about your partner. This is actually a great idea as part of a married couple’s bucket list too!

But who says you have to have deep meaningful conversations? You can stay up all night and laugh, dance, watch movies, go for a walk and literally watch the sunrise together.

I’m going to stay up all night with the one I love!

Music playlist

Create a personalised relationship playlist

Thank goodness for Spotify, YouTube and other music streaming sites and apps! Creating a personalised relationship playlist is a must-do for your couple’s bucket list. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

First song you danced to First song you both loved The song that reminds you of your partner / vice versa The song you both mutually dislike...on an irrational level! First single you bought as a child / your partner bought as a child A song that reminds you of your happiest memory with your partner / vice versa A song that reminds you of your funniest memory of your partner / vice versa Ask your friends and family which songs remind them of your relationship with your partner

If you fancy going old-school then you can always create an actual mixtape or burn the songs onto CD...just for nostalgia’s sake!
